Huge Jackpot in Saturday Lotto Megadraw
Full details about the festive draws have yet to be officially announced, but a Saturday Lotto Megadraw is traditionally held on the final Saturday of every year, so this year’s date will be 28 December. It will work in much the same way as a Superdraw, boosting the jackpot to a guaranteed amount for one night only.
Whereas the First Division prize in a Superdraw is $20 million, up from the regular $4 million, a Megadraw offers a jackpot of $30 million. You still have to pick six numbers from 1 to 45, and if you match them all you win a share of the top prize.
There are multiple winners in most Saturday Lotto draws, so the boosted prize fund ensures that the luckiest players get a larger payout than they would normally expect. In last year’s Megadraw, 17 players shared the $30 million jackpot, taking home more than $1.7 million each.
Monday and Wednesday Lotto Events
Following on from the Megadraw on 28 December, the Monday Lotto draw on 30 December and the Wednesday Lotto draw on 1 January will also offer excellent opportunities to snap up big prizes, with Double Your Win draws set to be held.
A Double Your Win draw, also known as a Double Win Day in Western Australia, is a special promotion which only takes place from time to time. If you win any prize from Division Two to Division Six, your payout will be instantly multiplied by two.
The jackpot is not doubled, so you will still win $1 million if you match all six numbers in one of these draws. Unlike Saturday Lotto, the prize is a fixed amount for each winner in Monday and Wednesday Lotto, provided there are not more than four winners. If there are five or more winners, $4 million is spread equally between them.
