MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minnesota’s lucky streak continues, kicking off the new year with two new millionaires.
In less than three weeks, Minnesota is now home to five new millionaires — with two lucky Minnesotans winning $1 million in the Jan. 1, 2020 Minnesota Millionaire Raffle.

Minnesota Lottery says the lucky streak began on Dec. 16 when a $1.6 million winning Gopher 5 jackpot was won in Hermantown, followed by a $1 million Powerball win in Mankato on Dec. 18 and a $1 million Powerball win in Big Lake on Dec. 21.
More than 12,000 players also won prizes in the Jan. 1, 2020 Minnesota Millionaire Raffle, including five $100,000 winners.

Those winning tickets were purchased at the following locations:
- Go For It, 3255 Viking Blvd. N.E., in East Bethel
- Kwik Trip #376, 301 W. 7th St., in Red Wing
- Kwik Trip #854, 520 Reform St. N., in Norwood Young America
- Speedway #70, located at 1884 E. 134th St., in Burnsville
- Tower Bar & Lounge, 100 N. Hill Ave., in Ogilvie
The Minnesota Lottery's annual raffle drawing yielded two $1 million winners, with one ticket purchased in Bloomington and the other in St. Cloud.
A total of 700,000 tickets for the 15th annual Minnesota Millionaire Raffle went on sale Oct. 20 and were gone by Nov. 30, the fastest sellout yet.
The New Year's Day drawing revealed that the tickets worth $1 million each — before taxes — were sold at Leroy's Great Bear Tire & Auto, 9000 Lyndale Av. S., Bloomington; and at SFP Liquors, 24086 Hwy. 15, St. Cloud.
The winners have yet to come forward and have one year to do so or their windfall is forfeited to the state's general fund.
More than 12,000 additional winning numbers were also announced, including five $100,000 prizes sold at the following locations: Center Mart, 1801 Main St., Centerville; Holiday, 410 10th Av. SE., Milaca; Holiday, 6210 109th Av. N., Champlin; KwikTrip, 105 2nd St. S., Sartell; and Noble Parkway Mobil, 9500 Noble Parkway, Brooklyn Park.
Mn Millionaire Raffle Prizes
The raffle, begun in 2006, sells a limited number of tickets. Each ticket costs $10. Numbers are drawn to determine who wins cash prizes starting at $50.
